What we do
As a "New kid on the Block" I am very pleased with the progress The Learning and Development Academy is making. For me it is really important that from the beginning we get things right. That is why the first thing I sought was to get the business accredited by Laser Learning to ensure that everything we do is delivered to a standard that is recognised and backed up by certificates.
Having achieved that I wanted to move into two different fields to get the ball rolling. One, The Award for Personal Licence Holders and the other First Aid Training.
In order to kick off properly, I wanted to be sure about the trainers who will support me in these two areas, and that I have
all the right equipment to ensure high quality delivery. I am pleased to say I have got both, great colleagues and top quality kit.
I began working in training in Surrey Police during the 1980's. At that time anything the Police Service taught you to do, anything, at all, they taught you to do it to the highest standards. I was really lucky, because that was the right time for me. So I have a great deal of experience in learning and development. In that time I have trained for clients, taught in colleges, worked in my own business, and I would love to bring all this to help you. I have designed and developed specific targeted learning for clients, including an award-winning training programme for the NHS. Attending the Awards Ceremony in the Grand Hotel at Brighton at a Black Tie dinner was without question a highlight of my time working in training.

First Aid Training
Emergency First Aid at Work is a one day course delivered by our highly qualified trainers. One is a former military man and the other a Fire Fighter, both with lots of practical and classroom based experience.
The cost of a course is £475 for the day for up to a maximum of 12 delegates. The limit in respect of numbers is placed upon us by Laser Learning Awards, our Awarding Body. We fully support this because it ensures quality delivery to each delegate.

Design, Development and Delivery packages
Attended a workshop which was facilitated by Phil on the subject of Human Rights. Phils' enthusiasm for this subject is infectious, creating a wonderful ambience for discussion. From the early days of the Magna Carta, Phil takes us on the journey of how human rights has evolved in Britain right up to the present day. Peppered with his wonderful anecdotes from a policing and mental health perspectives, I highly recommend Phil for workshop facilitation in Human Rights, Equality and Diversity.

Following the Coronavirus pandemic we developed a lot of skills teaching students on line, making training much more cost effective for the students. But somefolk like to comfort of a face to face teacher, and we do that too. Its your choice.
